The site as it is makes 40-80 a day with Adsense. I tried CPA ads in banner format, but got 0 results. My site could be too targeted, but you're RIGHT - persistence and testing are key. I’ve got a subscription based site being overhauled for 2007 to catch the new years resolution crowd, and since the team has taken over development, I’ve been learning about CPA+Adsense. You have to keep up try tweaking and tweaking and tweaking and at one point you have the right landingpage, campaigns and keywords and you're earning. In most cases you can get any campaign to make profit for you, some are really hard and with some you hit the exact point with your first try. But it takes anyway a lot of time and work. rofl ;o)

I spend a lot of time trying new markets, keyword research, testing different landing pages, etc. I think most people get into this stuff looking to hit a homerun with their first at bat. Probably ain't gonna happen For me, I've failed more than I've succeeded, but the successes can pay off big time. I've had several campaigns that for some reason I could never get to work, while there are others that I haven't really touched for six months and the money just keeps rolling in. The point is, you have to work and try new things and build up your empire. :o) Dude, you are right on with this.
