Of course the biggest thing happening at affiliate summit is the announcement that Myspace is suing CPA Empire. Article about it on CNN. Snippet from article below.
NEW YORK (Reuters) — News Corp.’s MySpace said Monday it has sued an e-mail marketing executive for an unspecified amount of damages, saying he and his company were behind millions of junk e-mail, or spam, messages sent to its customers’ accounts.
MySpace, the largest Internet social network with more than 150 million user profiles, filed the lawsuit against Scott Richter in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles last Friday.
But that’s not the biggest news, the rumors are circulating that many other CPA Networks (maybe even affiliates) may be getting a knock on thier door. With a letter from Myspace. Again this is just rumors but i am sure more will come to light over the next few weeks. Shoemoney made a post about it also. Read it Here.

Scott Richter claimed that 50 companies will be sued by MySpace. Today, I read from someone else that it is 20 companies… Sounds to me like Scott is trying to make it look like he’s not alone, hence diminishing the importance of this. In reality all spammer should be nervous and for good reason considering that SPAM is getting out of hand.
But for now, the bottom line is that no-one knows who will hear from MySpace aside from CPA Empire.
I left CPA Empire after this news came out. Regardless of the fact that it was not directly CPA Empire’s involvement, with the previous problems considered, I simply did not want to be associated with the site any longer.
Affiliate marketing already has a bad enough name amongst many.
