As far as it being common to be booted from a program i would say that it is not common but does happen. 9 times out of 10 people are violating TOS or just sending trash traffic (usually they don't ban but ask you to improve traffic quality), Providing false leads... meaning using stolen credit cards or one IP signing up as multiple people for an offer.
