This is definitely good advice. Although natural search engine rank is considered the best place to be, Adwords is just as important if you are truly looking to promote your site on the search engines. When developing an Adwords campaign, an effective technique that is often overlooked is creating two distinct ads for your sponsored listings (i.e. one ad may use keyword-insertion while the other does not). By comparing the click-thru rates of each ad, one can more effectively achieve the lowest overall cost per conversion. Landing page development is equally important.

Thanks David for all the wisdom. I launched my first landing page today and went forward with my test run. So far things look promising. Thanks for showing me the way!

Thanks for the advice. How does Amazon do when it comes to that? Are there any specific aff programs that you have seen perform well on this front?

Stuff I've tested has always gotten outpriced.

markus-

It more so has to do with the offer landing page than the redirect itself. Unfortunately many landing pages are horrible for getting good Quality score rankings while others are awesome. You need to evaluate the offer page as if it was your landing page to page the adwords Quality score.

Can you explain how to make redirects work with adwords (so they don't jack up the bids)?

thehosthunter-

All PPC engines you can send directly to the offer you just may have to use redirects to make it work.

First, you've got an extra http:// in your "Contact Form" link.

Second, does Adcenter or Yahoo allow you to send traffic directly to affiliates (Adwords sure as hell doesn't)? If not, I'd like to know the best way for testing new offers.

Second that for #1 - so long as I'm making a positive ROI on a marketing endeavor(including a dollar/hour value to account for time), I'll do it and move on to the next.
